Ingeborg Dalheim

Ingeborg Dalheim, soprano and vocal pedagogue, was born in Oslo and began her musical studies in folk music at Telemark University College. She later studied classical singing at the Norwegian Academy of Music, completing a performance-based Master’s degree in Baroque opera in 2006. She has studied with, among others, Sondre Bratland, Svein Bjørkøy, Barbara Schlick, and Rossana Bertini, and has specialized in Baroque and contemporary music, pursuing an extensive international career. Dalheim has worked with conductors such as Christophe Rousset, Rinaldo Alessandrini, and Sigiswald Kuijken, and for several years was a permanent member of the choir of the French baroque orchestra Les Arts Florissants under the direction of William Christie. She has performed with baroque legends such as Rolf Lislevand and Jordi Savall, folk musicians including Gjermund Larsen and Jorun Marie Kvernberg, and international ensembles such as the Netherlands Chamber Choir and the Mogens Dahl Chamber Choir. She will complete a PhD in Artistic Research at the Norwegian Academy of Music in 2026. Dalheim and Amaral have performed together as a duo since 2013, presenting both contemporary music and early repertoire.
